Interesting story Elvis Presley came to England 22nd of April 1966.

He was at Manchester airport at about 4 pm in the afternoon in that sunny after the rain of April 22nd 1966. I was sitting at a table in the lounge area it does not matter how I got there the fact that I was there to witness an event, just a silly little teenager at the time.
He walked into the lounge area of the place that I was sitting you could hear him a mile away because he had what you call taps on his shoes and the sound was echoing all around the airport by this time all the planes had landed and all the other plane had gone out it was only a small airport in them days not like today very busy. He walked in the lounge and he started trying each chair out for size he started bouncing around till he reach my table I had no idea why he was he just looked a little weird he was on his own at this time so I thought how wrong could a person be. This was the time that I decided to go but then I change my mind he was behaving so oddly that I wanted to see what he was going to do next and was dressed so strange he looked young to me he looked about 19 or 20 years old but I was wrong about that when you are young you are wrong about a lot of things, the was he was dressed was odd too he was wearing a suit but it was very old and long and much to big for him if I remember right it was reddish brown in colour and he had reddish brown hair combed back with hair cream and a curl in the middle of his head he was wearing a polo shirt dark blue and white stripe also did I say he had match brown shoes and silly sock on.
He came over to the table that I was sat next to in the lounge and he said hello my name is Elvis Presley but I could not understand what he was say because I had never met an American before and it sounded to me like he said his name was Elvera Priestly then I said your name is what.

ReplyDeleteI don't think that anybody is going to believe me but I will carry on with my story.
Now I understand what you are say to me I said he changed his accent to a Manchester accent he was very quick at doing accents Elvis came and sat right beside me he pulled up a chair and most of the time he was talking to me about this Col the Col the Col then I said Col mustard Col custard he laughed his head off a that one. Then he asked me why I was at the airport, it just a place I come to when I want to be on my own living near by it was easy to get to then for some reason I told him that I was thinking of running away from home I did not fit in with my family it was time to go then he just laughed again and said that is funny I have just done that I have run away that is what he told me.
